He opened his eyes to the world in an environment filled with more than tens of thousands of vinyls, audio cassettes and open reel magnetic tapes, containing millions of songs. Because his father was a great music archivist. This situation provided the further development of his already very good musical ear. Such that, when he was just 5, he was already able to play the melodies he heard on a Yamaha brand electronic keyboard which had larger keys than his fingers. When he was in school years, he received private tutors on notations and the oud. This helped him to learn more about the traditional Turkish music. But, he did not continue to play the oud. Tezcan Erol, who has a bachelor’s degree in Geophysics Engineering from Istanbul University, during his college years, his focus was mostly on computer softwares. He improved his skills not only in music and also computer assisted sound technologies, visual designs, digital video editing and many other areas in the digital world. After working as a freelancer for a while he founded his own commercial firm called “Han Grup Production and Agency Services” in Istanbul, Turkey in 2001.
